Substitute Teacher
Location:  Sierra Vista

We are seeking a full-time or part-time substitute teacher to join our CAS-Sierra Vista team.

The best candidate will have at least one year experience as a teacher and experience working in a classroom environment that emphasizes differentiation. Furthermore, this candidate truly desires to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Fluent in English; written and oral communication.

Teacher’s Assistant
Location:  Sierra Vista

The primary role of the CAS -Teacher’s Assistant is to help increase the academic achievement of assigned CAS students.

Within the classroom environment, the CAS-Teacher’s Assistant is expected to assist with the following activities:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide small group instruction to students in assigned ELA and math groups, under direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with on-going assessment of students (i.e. A/R goals, STAR testing).
  • Follow classroom schedule under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Ensure the safety of all children in the classroom environment.
  • Implement and follow through with student behavior plan, as well as any Individual Education Plans, for assigned student(s).
  • Act as a substitute teacher for the assigned classroom, when the teacher is not available.
  • Assist in the delivery of lesson (as directed by the classroom teacher).
  • Maintain open communication with the teacher regarding any classroom and student issues.
  • Share responsibility for grade-level and school-wide activities.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth, as provided by CAS and/or outside agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have High School Diploma/HS Equivalency AND a passing score on Parapro, Praxis or an equivalent exam OR
  • High School Diploma/HS Equivalency AND 60 college credit hours.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Math Teacher
Location:  Sierra Vista

Center for Academic Success is a public charter school with a location in Sierra Vista, AZ. We are seeking a full-time math teacher to join our CAS-SV team.

The best candidate will have at least one-year experience as a secondary math teacher and experience working in a classroom environment that emphasizes differentiation. Furthermore, this candidate truly desires to make a difference in the lives of the youth we serve.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree.

Special Education Paraprofessional
Location:  Sierra Vista

The primary role of the CAS –Special Education Paraprofessional is to help increase the academic achievement of assigned CAS students.
