Family Liaison/21st Century Coordinator
Location: Sierra Vista

Family Liaison (9:30am to 1:30pm)

  • Provide support to the parents and school community by providing resources and training that foster collaboration between home and school.
  • Contact parents of students with attendance problems. Contact law enforcement to provide welfare checks.
  • Maintain a professional awareness of regulations regarding child welfare and attendance by having a working knowledge of state law, board policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Refer any student who has exceptional problems that interfere with school attendance to school counselor and administration.
  • Assist students, teachers, and parents to develop solutions to family and community factors that influence students’ capacity or ability to learn.
  • Provide input into creation of policies and documents regarding student attendance.
  • Organize and deliver parent/family education workshops based on identified needs.
  • Conduct annual parent satisfaction surveys.
  • Plan and implement meaningful quarterly family engagement activities.
  • Manage data requirements and case management documentation.
  • Act as the school’s liaison for McKinney-Vento Homeless Program.
    • Work with the schools to track the progress of homeless students academically and track enrollment in school/extended day programs.
    • Facilitate transportation needs of the schools’ homeless students.
    • Work with various shelter facilities to provide services to homeless families.
    • Provide needed materials such as uniforms, school supplies, etc. to homeless students.
  • Attend school events.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
  • Attend required trainings and workshops; perform other tasks as assigned.

21st Century Coordinator (1:30pm to 5:30pm)

  • Site supervision and overall After School Program planning and operation.
  • Implement a high-quality academic enrichment program for students in grades K-8 who are struggling academically; promote enrichment activities, and encourage participation by members.
  • Support student learning related to social emotional learning, including emotional regulation, empathy, conflict resolution, and cultural competency.
  • Coordinate learning between day time school classrooms to reinforce, enrich, and complement student learning experiences.
  • Track and report daily participant attendance.
  • Serve as primary liaison between club staff, school staff, and 21st CCLC staff.
  • Coordinate with 21st CCLC staff to ensure that all grant mandated outcomes are achieved.
  • Document and track progress made by participating students.
  • Hire and supervise program participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times.
  • Plan and implement meaningful quarterly family engagement activities.
  • Gather and complete semi-monthly site payroll documentation, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Direct and oversee summer academic enrichment programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.

Associates Degree or equivalent coursework and experience

Excellent computer skills and ability to work with standard software products

This position is a 12 month position; Hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm


Fifth Grade Teacher
Location:  Douglas

We are seeking a full-time Fifth Grade Teacher to join our CAS-Douglas team.

This position will specifically support our 5th grade students, parents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • A passing score on the AEPA/NES Subject Knowledge: Elementary Education Subtests I and II exam.
  • Fluent in English; written and oral communication.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects for the sixth grade level.
  • Prepares, administers and grades tests/assignments to evaluate students’ progress
  • Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests in the 4 core subjects of: English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science.
  • Administers standardized achievement tests.
  • Maintains accurate and complete student records.
  • Confers with parents or guardians to discuss their child’s progress.
  • Meets with other professionals to discuss individual student’s needs and progress.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Commits to ongoing professional growth, as provided by CAS and/or outside agencies.
  • Enforces all administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Ensures the safety of all students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: This is a 10-month position. Standard days and hours of work are 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

High School English Teacher
Location:  Douglas

We are seeking a full-time High School English Teacher to join our CAS-Douglas team.

As the High School English Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering lesson plans that teaches students about the structure of the English language to include: proper grammar and sentence structure along with assigning homework, grading assignments, quizzes and documenting students’ progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Literature
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience
  • Must be able to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Fluent in English; written and oral communication.

High School Math Teacher
Location:  Sierra Vista

We are seeking a full-time High School Math Teacher to join our CAS-Sierra Vista team.

As the High School Math Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering lesson plans that develop students’ theoretical and applied mathematical skills along with assigning homework, grading assignments, quizzes and documenting students’ progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in Mathematics, or Equivalent
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience
  • Must be able to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Fluent in English; written and oral communication.

  • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate student’s understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

Sixth Grade Teacher
Location:  Sierra Vista

We are seeking a full-time Sixth Grade Teacher to join our CAS-Sierra Vista team.

This position will specifically support our 6th grade students, parents and staff.

The best candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience, thrive in a fast paced environment and have the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with the public. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching.
